I remember the night Andrew and I talked about having our first baby. We had been married for over a year. It may not sound like a long time for some people to enjoy your married life before you have kids but we were ready and excited.

I had nine months to make sure I knew what I needed to know before Kai was born (although, as all new moms would agree, the reality of motherhood doesn’t sink in until you have your baby in your arms. )

For our next #AskAMentorMom segment, Katie will share her story with us as it relates to what she calls herself: an “Instant mom” or “bonus mom. “

Unlike me and many moms. Katie became the mom to a two year old boy when she married her husband.

Write your questions in the comments or send me a message. She will be happy to answer your questions about:

~Blended families
~Children coping with hurts that come from a biological parent who suffers with behavioral and/or addiction health problems.

Having moms I look up to around me has been a blessing during this stage of my life.

Being able to have someone tell me that everything will be ok because they have been there before has helped me to keep going.

Who are the moms that you look up to? Who do you think we should learn from for our next Ask A Mentor Mom?

Maybe it is you.

Let me know on the comments or send me a message.

I can’t wait to share these women’s stories!
